My brother-in-law is working on a 88 grand prix The rear rotors were so bad that the caliper on the right rear popped He replaced both back calipers and the rotors, New pads everything in the rear is new.. We bled the hell out of everything front and rear we get a good hard stream of fluid when we bleed. You get done and go inside and the pedal goes nearly to the floor. The car does stop but there is hardly any pedal. Any ideas?? We have bled a quart of fluid through the whole system and now i just don't know.
Any suggestions would be GREAT!!

No leaks? Did you bleed the front? I guess you know both the front & rear must be blead.

This probably has delco IV system and you just need to close all bleeders and start car and pump brake pedal about 50 times.
This should do it!

i was always told that the order in which you bleed the brakes would effect the effectiveness of the bleeding process. the way i was told is that you start at the farthest from the master cylinder.. so right rear then left rear then right front then left front.. if you did it in that order, are you sure you didnt run the brake fluid dry while bleeding??? you could have sucked in a lot of air that way.. if you did all that correctly...... then i will have to do some talking to some people for ya, see if i can find anything out.
