Foreign automakers say U.S. employment edged up in '07

WASHINGTON -- At a time when Detroit's Big Three automakers are cutting thousands of jobs, a trade association representing most foreign automakers announced a slight uptick in U.S. employment in 2007 -- ahead of the opening of three new U.S. plants by 2010.
