'98 Chevy Astro A/C no work

I have a 1998 Astro van. The air conditioner will not turn on. I replaced the compressor and fully charged the system. (It wasn't working before either)
It does not seem to be trying to engage at all. Electrical problem? Who out there knows something?!

Check for 12v at the cycling clutch switch. This is located at the accumulater (drier) Also check all fuses. If all this checks out,the a/c controller(where you turn the a/c on could be bad.

"Jump" the low pressure A/C cycling switch with a paper clip and see if the compressor comes on. Only do this for a few seconds.

Yes, that was it! The pressure switch was malfunctioning. I jumped it with a paper clip and got it to engage.
